How many were made? It is usually the first thing a collector wants to know, and it is surprisingly hard to get a straight answer — plenty of the tables floating around online are simply wrong.
So these go straight to the source: the mints and central banks that actually struck the coins. Every figure is checked, and where the numbers are disputed we tell you rather than quietly picking one.
